Install from the Shopify App Store
Shopshot installs in one click from the Shopify App Store and runs inside your Shopify admin. There is no separate password to manage.
Install Shopshot from the Shopify App Store.
Approve the requested permissions. Shopshot reads orders, products, and payout data so it can reconcile profit. Access is read-only.
Wait for the first sync. Shopshot imports your recent history and snapshots costs at ingestion.
You start on a free 14-day trial with every feature unlocked. No card is required to start.
Profit Leak Agent
Once the first sync finishes, open the Profit Leak Agent. Our agent runs on your last 90 days and surfaces the specific issues costing you the most money, ranked biggest first. Most stores are surprised by what the first report finds. Whatever it finds is yours to keep, whether you stay or uninstall.
Add your cost data
Shopify tells Shopshot your revenue, discounts, refunds, and payouts. To turn that into true profit, add your costs under Costs Setup:
COGS for product costs.
Shipping Costs for what fulfillment actually costs you.
Transaction Fees for payment gateway fees.
Fulfillment (Handling) Costs for packaging and labor.
Operating Expenses for recurring overhead.
Then connect your ad platforms under Integrations (Meta Ads and Google Ads) so Shopshot can calculate real acquisition cost and blended returns. Until COGS is entered, margin figures are incomplete, and Shopshot flags what is missing.
Finding your way around
The left navigation holds the main areas:
Profit Leak Agent is your home screen. The issues costing you money, ranked.
Profit & Loss is your daily reconciled P&L plus business metrics.
Orders is your order table, with profit and attribution for every order.
Products is margin and an action call per SKU.
Costs Setup is where you configure the costs above.
Integrations connects Meta and Google Ads.
Settings holds store configuration.
Your store name, currency, and time zone are shown at the top of the sidebar so you always know which store and context you are viewing.
After the trial
When the 14 days end, Shopshot does not start billing automatically. You pick a plan manually if you want to continue. Otherwise, syncing stops. If you uninstall, your data goes with it. See Pricing and billing for details.
