Transaction fees are what your payment gateways charge to process an order. Configure a fee for each gateway you use, and Shopshot automatically applies the correct fee based on the payment method on each order, so your Gross Profit reflects what really landed in your account.

Add a gateway with + Add Payment Gateway and set two parts.

Shopshot ships with sensible defaults you can edit, for example Shopify Payments at 2.90% + $0.30, and a Manual gateway for non-Shopify Payments that carries the extra fee Shopify charges (for example 3.50% + $0.30).

Any change to transaction cost settings is used to retroactively recalculate your historical orders. This keeps every order's payment fee consistent with your current configuration, so your P&L does not mix old and new fee assumptions.

A gateway is missing from my orders' fees. Why? Add that gateway here so Shopshot knows how to price its transactions.

I changed a fee. Does it only affect new orders? No. Changes recalculate historical orders too, so the whole history reflects your current fees.
