Transaction fees are what your payment gateways charge to process an order. Configure a fee for each gateway you use, and Shopshot automatically applies the right fee based on the payment method used for each order.
Setting a gateway fee
Add a payment gateway with + Add Payment Gateway, then set two parts:
A percentage per transaction (for example 2.90%).
A fixed fee per transaction (for example $0.30).
A Foreign Exchange fee if your gateway's settlement currency is different to the currency in which the customer paid the order
Shopshot ships with sensible defaults you can edit. For example, Shopify Payments at 2.90% plus $0.30, and a non-Shopify Payments that carries the additional fee Shopify charges (for example 3.50% plus $0.30).
Retroactive recalculation
Any change to transaction cost settings is used to retroactively recalculate your historical orders. This keeps every order's payment fee consistent with your current configuration, so your P&L stays internally consistent rather than mixing old and new fee assumptions.

A gateway is missing from my orders' fees. Why? Add that gateway here so Shopshot knows how to price its transactions.
I changed a fee. Does it only affect new orders? No. Changes recalculate historical orders too, so the whole history reflects your current fees.
