Typing costs one by one is slow. A CSV import sets COGS for your whole catalog in one upload, which is the quickest way to reach a complete, trustworthy P&L.

How to import
On the COGS tab, click Download CSV Template. It comes pre-filled with your SKUs.
Fill in the cost for each SKU in the cost column. Leave a row blank to skip it.
Save the file and click Upload CSV.
Review the summary, then confirm.
Tips for a clean import
Keep the SKU column exactly as exported so each cost maps to the right product.
Use plain numbers for costs, without currency symbols.

What happens after upload
Imported costs apply going forward and are snapshotted onto new orders. Past orders keep the cost that was true when they happened, so importing does not restate closed months. See How Shopshot calculates profit.
Common questions
Will importing overwrite existing costs? It updates the SKUs included in your file. Rows you leave blank are not changed.
A cost did not apply. Why? Usually a SKU mismatch. Re-download the template so the SKU column matches exactly, then re-upload.
Does the import change historical margins? No. Costs are snapshotted, so only future orders pick up the new values.
