Shipping is one cost that arrives from many places: a carrier CSV, Shopify labels, what the customer paid, a per-product cost, or a flat country rate. Shopshot resolves one shipping cost per order using a priority order. The first available source wins.
The priority order
Shopshot checks these sources in order and uses the first one that has a value for the order:
CSV Imported Shipping Costs. Order-level costs from a CSV you import. Upload a CSV, or download the template first.
Shopify Shipping Labels. The actual shipping label cost from Shopify for each order.
Customer Charged Shipping. The shipping amount the customer paid, used as the cost for that order.
Product-level Shipping Costs. The sum of product shipping costs from the COGS tab. This wins only when every line item in the order is covered.
Shipping Zone Costs. Country-based fixed costs and weight-range rules.
Each source can be turned on or off, and its status (for example Configured or Not configured) is shown so you know which sources are live.
Partial coverage
Product-level shipping applies only on full coverage of all line items. If coverage is partial, the order falls through to the next available source, such as Shipping Zone Costs. One order always ends with one resolved shipping method, and Orders shows which source was used (via the Shipping Cost Source field, which you can also filter on).
Shipping Zone Costs
Manage fixed shipping rates per country while reusing the shipping rule engine. Add a rule with + Add Rule, set a cost per country or region (for example United States, United Kingdom, Rest of the World), and edit or delete rules as your rates change.
Common questions
Which source is being used for a given order? Open the order in Orders and check the Shipping Cost Source, or filter the Orders table by that field.
Why did an order not use my product-level shipping? Product-level shipping needs full coverage of every line item. On partial coverage it falls through to the next configured source.
