If your Marketing metrics look wrong or empty, the cause is usually the connection, the sync, or the UTMs. Work through these in order.
1. Confirm the connection is active
Open the connector's Manage panel. It should read Connected, with a recent last-sync time. If it shows disconnected or an error, reconnect. Shopshot uses read-only access, so reconnecting is safe.
2. Force a resync
Data syncs on a schedule (for example every 6 hours). If you just launched a campaign or changed spend, click Resync Now and give it a moment, then refresh your date range.
3. Check the reporting window
Campaign Performance loads campaigns for the selected reporting window. If a campaign is missing, widen the date range to a period where it had spend.
4. Make sure campaigns are toggled on
Inside a connected integration you can toggle individual campaigns on or off for how they feed Shopshot. A campaign toggled off will not contribute spend.
5. Fix attribution with UTMs
If spend is present but ROAS looks too low, the issue is usually attribution, not the connection. Shopshot uses last-click UTM.
Keep Google auto-tagging enabled.
Add UTM parameters in your Final URL suffix.
Keep the Shopshot pixel enabled so first-touch sources are recovered when Shopify drops them. See The Shopshot Pixel.
Why Shopshot ROAS is lower than the platform
This is expected, not a bug. Platforms self-attribute and claim the same conversion more than once. Shopshot counts each sale once, using last-click UTM and Net Sales, so its ROAS is conservative and ties to your bank account. See Attribution and acquisition cost (CAC).
Still stuck?
If spend still does not appear after a resync and a confirmed connection, contact support with the platform, the account ID, and the date range you are checking.
